Although online registration is now closed, those interested are still able to confirm their place on the start line through Sport Expo, which is open on 15 May from 1pm to 8pm, and on 16 May from 11am to 8pm. If you would rather not exert yourself, be sure to come along and watch the action from the sidelines.
Raising money for good causes
Now in its fourth year, the Bucharest Half Marathon has grown steadily in reputation and it’s considered one of the best events on the European amateur athletics calendar. The event has become renowned for its fundraising, with all proceeds from this year’s event being donated to the Romanian Olympics Federation, Hopes and Homes for Children, Hospice House of Hope, United Way, Little People, Light into Europe, WWF Romania and ViitorPlus.
There will be a host of different events being held across the weekend, and while the children’s events are all taking place on Saturday, the events for the adults are all taking place on Sunday morning. Click here for a full racing schedule.
If you are lucky enough to be visiting Bucharest over the weekend on a luxury Danube river cruise with us, be sure to come along and check out this fantastic event for yourself.
