Emerald Waterways River Cruises

Emerald launches Telegraph river cruise itinerary

The one-off journey will be departing on 22nd and 27th August 2015, and will take a unique journey through Central and Eastern Europe, with correspondent guest speakers enhancing the experience further. Setting sail on an Emerald ‘Star-Ship’, you and your fellow guests will head from Budapest to Bucharest, visiting beautiful destinations such as Belgrade, Silistra and the Iron Gate.

You will be joined on your river cruise by BBC central Europe correspondent Nick Thorpe, former BBC foreign correspondent Martin Bell, and Ultra Travel columnist and BBC world affairs editor John Simpson as you sail along during your Danube river cruise. Each correspondent boasts more than 25 years’ experience and have all reported on previous events that shaped the landscape that you will see today.
