The Emerald Belle is currently being built in the Netherlands by the Dan Breejen Shipyard and will be the fifth addition to the current collection of ‘Star-Ships’. It will feature the same cutting-edge innovations that have seen Emerald Waterways win a number of awards for river cruising, but will also include a number of further enhancements which are still to be determined.
Those embarking on European river cruises in 2016 will be able to enjoy the newest contemporary additions to the fleet, which all boast a heated pool with a retractable roof that becomes a cinema in the evenings. The cabins are limited to just 92, meaning that those on board can enjoy an intimate experience, with service that is almost one-to-one. The Belle will also provide four types of cabin to choose from, as well as a gym and Wellness Area on board, in order to provide a modern and alternative river cruise package.
Providing an innovative river cruising experience for guests
Emerald Waterways’ Brand Manager David Winterton said, “Because we’re so new – yet already so established – we’re able to create an on-board experience that other operators can’t replicate. Starting with a blank canvas has given us the opportunity to be innovative and more conscious of our guests’ experiences.”
As one the fastest growing river cruise companies, it’s no surprise that Emerald Waterways has had to expand its fleet in order to cater for the increasing demand, as well as adding a number of extra departure dates for certain itineraries.
Emerald Waterways is currently also awaiting the launch of the Emerald Sun and Emerald Dawn, which will make their inaugural sailings in April and May this year in Europe.
