As one trendsetter meets another, Emerald Waterways are taking to the water as the first new cruise line to enter the Europe Moselle river cruise market in six years. The innovative design of our new ships is set to take the river cruise industry by storm “as we believe [like Twiggy] they also set new standards”. The two new “Star-Ships” to be christened by the world’s first supermodel, the Emerald Sky and Emerald Star, each carry 182 guests and offer plenty of space thanks to their state-of-the-art design and pioneering features.
Set to be a ship christening like no other, Twiggy will be at the helm of the event taking place in Amsterdam on the 9th April. Renowned cruise critic Phil Reimer described the event as ‘A former trendsetter is meeting a new trendsetter in Amsterdam’ in this article, as the Emerald ships have been created with contemporary style and comfort at the forefront of their design.
Emerald Waterways’ own Anna Wolfsteiner described Twiggy’s appointment as Godmother as an easy choice, stating, “The name ‘Twiggy’ is synonymous with words like ‘iconic,’ ‘trendsetter’ and ‘style’ and these words also describe [our] new Star-Ships. We are delighted that Twiggy…will be Godmother to our two new innovative vessels as we believe they also set new standards”.
The Emerald Star and Emerald Sky set sail on their first voyages in April this year, with their many options for a 2014 river cruise holiday selling out fast. Guests are urged to book soon for the best possible chance of securing a space ahead of the launch with Twiggy next month.
