Amsterdam's popular tourist attraction the Stedelijk Museum has recently acquired two works by the award-winning artist turned director which are to go on display in December later this year.

The renowned Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra has been acknowledged for its many decades of outstanding work as a classical music ensemble with the awarding of the 2014 Herbert von Karajan Music Prize. The 11th Prague State Opera Ball has been hailed as a success, having raised a record 745,000 crowns for charity. The annual ball hosts a charity auction in which guests can bid on exclusive valuable items, with the money raised from the bid going to good causes. This year saw the ball raise money for the foundation established by top Czech model Tereza Maxova and the Srdcervaci project.
