Cut a weaving passage across the picturesque lands of Belgium and the Netherlands, enjoying the unique history and infectious cultures of these proud European neighbours.

This 8-day roundtrip begins and ends in Amsterdam, the cosmopolitan capital of the Netherlands. Enjoy a glass top canal boat tour of the city, or travel like a local as part of an EmeraldACTIVE cycling tour of the famous sights and attractions – from Anne Frank House to the Rijksmuseum.

Entering the mouth of the great Rhine River, you’ll pass into the charming Dutch countryside, with its ancient villages and horizon-sweeping tulip fields. Day 3 encompasses a visit to the oldest city in Holland, Dordrecht, as well as an EmeraldPLUS excursion to the Kinderdijk Windmills, a unique collection of 18th-century windmills granted World Heritage Site status on account of their indelible local significance and heritage.

Crossing the Belgian border, we visit Antwerp, a captivating city world-renowned for its exquisitely preserved medieval architecture and roster of tempting Flemish ales. Visit the Renaissance Town Hall and the Gothic Cathedral of Our Lady, before boarding your ship to continue on to Arnhem, site of one of the bloodiest and most significant conflicts of the WWII.
