The Mekong - Vietnam & Cambodia

At over 2,700 miles long, the mighty Mekong river is most definitely king, and it’s people have developed ingenious ways to live in harmony with this beautiful landscape. Journey with us through the wonderful maze of waterways of the Mekong Delta on Emerald Harmony and the Mekong Navigator, where life is simple and traditional yet fascinating and captivating.

Our three immersive itineraries all allow you to explore this magnificent region. From cruising through floating markets where you can shop for fruit, clothes and souvenirs from the side of your boat, to watching children riding on the backs of water buffalo, you will be immersed into this rural lifestyle and learn why this region is called the ‘rice bowl’ of Vietnam. Being one of the most important and successful agricultural regions in the world, it holds a myriad of exquisite foods to sample.

The Irradwaddy - Myanmar

We are delighted to expand on our Southeast Asia collection with three superb new itineraries, each of which include a 9-night Irrawaddy river cruise on-board the elegant Irrawaddy Explorer.

A country synonymous with bustling markets, exquisite pagodas and Buddhist relics dating back to the 6th century, it’s no surprise that Rudyard Kipling once described Myanmar as ‘unlike any land you know about’. Yangon’s unique contrast of British colonial architecture, modern high-rises and Buddhist pagodas draw thousands of pilgrims annually. The serene waters of Inle Lake, spectacular for its floating villages, encourage lessons on the Intha people. And, Shwe san daw temple is a spectacular place from which to enjoy the sunset, with its five terraces, cylindrical stupa and bejewelled umbrella, overlooking Bagan below.
