Amsterdam is famous for its tolerant and open atmosphere and has an extensive and open gay scene. Find bars, café’s and clubs on and around Reguliersdwarsstraat, Amstel and Kerkstraat and closer to Dam Square on Warmoesstraat and Zeedijk.
Antwerp, the city of famous painter Rubens, has a small but lively gay scene close to the harbour, with several popular bars and clubs including ‘Strange’, located on Dambruggestraat 161, Centre, which was the first and thus oldest gay cafe in Antwerp.
The beautiful historical centre of Vienna is packed with historical sights and it is here you will find most of the famous buildings and tourist attractions. The area with many of the gay bars, café’s and clubs can be found around the Naschmarkt area, Vienna’s famous market on the south side of the City.
Cologne has one of the biggest gay communities in Germany. Close to the Rhine River where your Emerald Waterways Star-Ship will dock, Cologne has a vast amount of gay bars, cafés and clubs located on Schaafenstrasse and Colognes Gay Pride, the CSD Christopher Street Day is one of the biggest Prides in Europe.
Prague is one of Europe’s historical gems, adorned with stunning architecture, medieval lanes and a majestic castle. Prague’s vibrant gay scene is easy to navigate, with most of the nightlife located in the Vinohrady area, close to the City centre and the Old Town.
Budapest is a large city with over 1.7 million people living there and considered as one of the most beautiful Cities in Europe. There is an extensive gay scene, with numerous gay bars, café’s and clubs which are mostly located a stroll from Elisabeth Bridge which crosses the Danube River, along which your Emerald Waterways Star-Ship will dock.
